History

June 26, 1976- Open to the public for the first time, named the world’s tallest freestanding structure on land.

1995- Named one of the ‘7 Wonders of the Modern World’ by the American Society of Civil Engineers.

June 28, 2007- LED lights added to the exterior of the tower, showing up on the elevator shafts, traveling to the top of the tower.
